Why is there so much hate against new age music from clical fans ?

I mean I dont know much about clical music dont get me wrong but those two genres are my fav so id like to learn more. I mean I like A sonata by beethoven as I enjoy romeo and juliets ost 1948 .so is new age wothless and artless at all or not ? THank you in advance
