Question About Goats?

I recently acquired two goats. I didn't plan too, but i did. I know nothing about goats. They are quite skinny but over the past few weeks i have had them they have been steadily gaining weight. They are being turned out in a field, and getting one flake a day, and 3 cups of sweet feed between them. They go in a stall at night, and are both girls. One of them has some patches where she seems to be balding, what could this be? also is there anything else i need to do to care for them? i am currently trying to find them a more experienced owner, but i would like to give them the best care i can in the meantime.
