Does anyone know if this is hereditary?

OK so my mom couldnt carry my brother full term because of her weak cervix, so he was born at 28 weeks, i was born at 32 weeks for the same reason. Does anyone know if this is hereditary? Or has anyone had this happen also? Your uterus just couldn't stay closed?
