Is there any physical evidence that 2012 CANT happen?

Im not talking about any spiritual theories or anything like that......I see all of these tv shows explaining all of these scientific things like solar flares and magnetic fields ripping to worlds ozone apart, and its seriously worrying me.....there are a ridiculous amount of these shows and I dont know weather to believe them or if this whole 2012 thing is just to make money and scare people....was there this much talk about doomsday theories in the past??.....Is there any scientist that can prove that this WONT happen... and once again why are there so many shows and and even a movie that are coming out now. but nothing that shows that it cant happen?
