Will it harm my guppy fish if i dont keep those small tunnel like toys in the fish bowl?

see i hav 4 guppy fish 2 male 2 female....the bowl is smal 12 inches............so...it has a plant...pebbles in it...is it neccesary 2 keep those toy like things in it....??
