I heard recently that the hole in the ozone is shrinking...true or false?

Well, it does regenerate over time. However, even though we have stopped pumping out CFCs, which destroy it, they have a very long life in the environment; which means they will still be munching it for some time, maybe decades. I don't know precisely how long.
